What's the difference between the Base generator and the Pro generator?

Base is the everyday tool — pick a character, pick a pose, outfit and background, and we blend it into one prompt for you. Pro gives you full control: write your own prompts, lock seeds, use img2img and reference images, preserve faces across variants, and render up to 2K.

How long does a generation take?

Base usually takes 10–30 seconds. Pro takes longer because it runs heavier workflows — typically 30–90 seconds depending on resolution and post-processing.

What if a generation fails?

Tokens are deducted up front and refunded automatically if the job fails. You don't lose tokens to a provider error.

Can I use my own reference image?

Yes, in Pro mode. Upload a reference for img2img guidance or face preservation, and the generator will follow the look.

Why are some characters greyed out or blurred?

NSFW characters and images are blurred in the catalog unless you're signed in, have NSFW access on your subscription, and have turned the unblur toggle on in Settings. See Content & safety below.

Can I create my own AI character?

Yes. Use the four-step wizard — character setup, appearance, identity (name + personality), then review. You design the gender, age, look, personality traits, and backstory. Generating the model is free.

Do I get a free avatar when I create a model?

Yes, one free avatar generation per model when you finish the wizard. After that, avatar regenerations cost tokens like any image.

Who owns the characters I create?

You do. Your characters live in your private space (My Space) and are not visible to other users unless you publish them. You can keep them, fork them, regenerate the avatar, or delete them at any time.

Yes. You can rename, edit personality, regenerate the avatar, and add gallery images at any time from the model page.

Tokens are Charmloop's in-app currency. Image generation, chat messages on paid engines, and avatar regenerations cost tokens. You earn them by subscribing or by buying a top-up pack.

Free ($0), Basic (500 tokens/mo), Premium (1,500 tokens/mo, $19.99/mo or $12.99/mo yearly), and Ultimate (5,000 tokens/mo). Premium unlocks NSFW models, Pro generation, priority queue, premium chat engines, and chat Memory. Ultimate adds video generation and the largest token allowance.

Do unused tokens roll over?

Subscription tokens refresh at the start of each month and don't roll over — anything unused expires when the new month's allotment lands. Top-up tokens you buy separately carry forward indefinitely until you spend them.

You get a 3-day grace period with full access. After that, you move to the free tier. Your characters, chats, and gallery stay safe.

Yes. NOWPayments handles the crypto transaction; Charmloop never sees your coin or wallet address. There's no card on file because there's no card.

Will I be charged again automatically?

No. Crypto subscriptions are prepaid for the period you choose (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). When the period ends you decide whether to renew. There is no recurring charge.

Does Charmloop have NSFW content?

Yes, on Premium and above. NSFW models exist in the catalog but are blurred and locked unless you (1) are signed in, (2) have a subscription tier that includes NSFW access, and (3) have turned on the NSFW visibility setting. You can keep the platform fully SFW even on a paid plan.

How do I turn NSFW on or off?

Go to Settings → Content preferences. There are two toggles — one to show adult models in the catalog, and one to unblur their images. Both are off by default.

Is everyone allowed to see NSFW content?

No. You must be 18 or older. We rely on your self-attestation when you create an account and when you enable adult content — misrepresenting your age violates our Terms.

Are AI characters real people?

No. Every character on Charmloop is fictional — either user-created or designed by us. We do not allow characters that depict real, identifiable people.

Are there things I can't generate?

Yes. We don't allow content depicting minors, real identifiable people without consent, or anything illegal. Prompts that hit these filters fail and tokens are refunded. The full list lives in our content policy.

Yes. Email us at support@charmloop.com with the model name or image URL and a brief description. Every report is reviewed.

Yes. From Settings → Account, request deletion. You have a 30-day grace period in which you can cancel the request and restore the account. After 30 days, your data is permanently anonymized and removed.

What data do you store about me?

Your account (email, hashed password), the characters you create, your chats and generated images, your generation settings, and the persona you optionally share with characters. We don't sell data and we don't run third-party advertising.
