We've got a couple of great updates this time around that focus on the quality of what you create and how smooth that creation process feels, especially on your phone. Here's what's new.
One of the biggest frustrations in AI image generation is when a face looks slightly "off" or doesn't stay consistent across different images of the same character. We've made a major upgrade to how Charmloop handles faces under the hood, adding face preservation and an identity-aware face pass to the generation pipeline. In practice, this means the faces in your generations should look more natural, more detailed, and more recognizably consistent as "the same person" across multiple images — whether you're refining a character over several generations or creating variations of the same look. Alongside this, we've expanded the range of aesthetic archetypes available, giving you a broader palette of styles and looks to pull from when shaping your characters. Together, these changes mean less trial-and-error and more generations that look right the first time.
If you've been creating on your phone, you'll notice the Pro generator now feels significantly more polished. We took a fresh pass at the mobile layout and interactions based on design feedback, tightening up how controls are arranged and how the generation flow feels when you're working with a smaller screen. Options are easier to reach, the interface feels less cramped, and moving through the generation process on mobile now feels a lot closer to the desktop experience. If Pro generation on mobile felt a little clunky before, this update is specifically aimed at fixing that.
We know getting started with a new platform can sometimes get interrupted — life happens! For users who begin setting things up on Charmloop but don't quite finish onboarding, we've introduced friendly re-engagement emails to help you pick up right where you left off. These are simple, low-key reminders designed to help, not to spam your inbox, and you can always opt out if they're not for you. The goal is just to make sure a busy day doesn't turn into a forgotten account.
We've added a small but fun new touch to our news and articles section: a "Discuss this with" companion block right under news posts. Now, when you're reading an update or article on Charmloop, you can jump straight into a conversation with a companion about what you just read, making it easier to explore ideas, ask questions, or just chat about the latest happenings without leaving the page.
That's everything for this update! We're continuing to invest in the core quality of generations and the everyday experience of using Charmloop across devices, so expect more improvements like these in the pipeline. As always, thank you for creating with us.
