Charmloop respects intellectual-property rights and expects users to do the same. This policy describes how to report copyright infringement and how we respond.
1. Reporting alleged copyright infringement (DMCA notice)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (Section 4) that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (e.g., a URL);
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may not be actionable. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may subject you to liability.
2. Our response
On receiving a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and will take reasonable steps to notify the user who provided it.
3. Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of {{COUNTER_NOTICE_JURISDICTION — fill before publication}} and will accept service of process from the complaining party.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
4. Designated Agent
To be completed and registered with the U.S. Copyright Office before publication.
{{DMCA_AGENT_NAME / ROLE — fill before publication}}
{{LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME — fill before publication}}
{{DMCA_AGENT_MAILING_ADDRESS — fill before publication}}
Email: dmca@charmloop.ai
5. Repeat-infringer policy
We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
6. Non-consensual imagery and other rights
Copyright is not the only basis to request removal. If content depicts you or another real person without consent, or sexualizes a real person, do not use this DMCA process — use the abuse-reporting process in our Acceptable Use & Content Policy (abuse@charmloop.ai), which is handled on a faster timeline as required by law.
